Sunshine

We really need some - weather in Toronto has been erratic at best. So when I saw this beautiful yellow peplum sweater at Banana Republic I just couldn't resist. It reminds me of spring and summer and I'm sure we could all use some sunshine on days like these.

This is the last post featuring my brother-in-law Kevin from Kaptured Memories. I would hire him if he didn't live 4 hours away and if I could pay him in appreciation.

My obsession with peplum continues. When purchasing this sweater I bought a Medium because it was longer in the torso and allowed the peplum to drape nicer and longer.

I can't get enough of the pleating in back. Love the shape it is giving me.

My Boyfriends Back...Jeans That Is

Today has been a very casual day. I've been running around doing very adult things - getting ready for the end of RRSP season. My inner child died a little because of me having written that. My brother-in-law Kevin took some pictures of me last weekend and I happened to be wearing the same thing today minus the heels - I wore booties and socks.

Kevin was a photographer in the Canadian Military and served in the Combat Camera division. He has been to many places and seen atrocities most could only imagine. On the flip side Kevin's also traveled to the Canadian far north and visited places like India.  Could two places be more different? Poor guy got stuck taking my picture and trying to help me manage Photo Shop. I also forced him into giving me some free photography lessons.

Now that Kevin has entered civilian life he's started his own photo studio called Kaptured Memories. I've added his Facebook page link here.

Honeycomb

It is cold, wet and windy. Perfect for blogging pictures outside! Lately I have been loving Banana Republic and The Gap. The colours, styles and fits have just worked for me. I love their on-line stores - lots of on-line exclusives and easy return policy. The Gap could do a course on easy return policy and customer appreciation!

The wind just would not stop blowing - lots of cheesy glamour pics. I couldn't resist!

A Peak into Spring

I LOVE NAUTICAL STRIPES, in case you were wondering. When Fashion Magazine challenged us to style stripes (excluding the typical striped top) I knew I would be wearing this blazer. I think of navy as a neutral and knew this blazer could be easily incorporated into my wardrobe. I wanted to wear some colour and wore this emerald green blouse and topped it off with this white statement necklace.

Express Summer Preview - Showing Canadian LOVE

I have no plans for Valentine's Day. Last year my husband and I enjoyed a beautiful dinner out, this year pork roast from the crock pot with the kids. I did have the pleasure of going to the Express Summer Preview at Brill communications. That is where I got my Valentine's Day Fix. The women of Brill know how to host a media preview!

I have to say that my favourite part was the jewelry, I just couldn't get enough.

As you can see Express touched on all the latest trends both in colour (brights, pastels and black & white) and silhouettes. My favourite part was hearing that they have pants that come in tall. Okay that wasn't my favourite part, my favourite part was hearing that Express made a corporate decision to treat its Canadian customer with love (Happy Valentine's Day) and respect and not gouge us at the cash register. Express has price parity with the United States. Lots of American retailers could learn something from Express.

Now all I need is a Sherway Gardens location and we are set.

I'm Back...and wearing Knits

My computer is fixed and backed up. Lesson learned. I am so very happy to have my computer back and to be blogging. To be honest the last month and a half I have been in some type of fashion funk. I'll blame the weather and the fact that I was sick with my youngest son. The sun is shining and I do feel re-juvinated. That's why I'm all smiles.

The best thing about this sweater - it's shape - is also the most difficult part. It is hard to find a coat that will not wrinkle it. That's why I just wore this infinity scarf from Banana Republic while I was running around. I was cold for a bit but didn't care.

Computer Problems

I have been having major computer problems. I literally almost lost all my pictures, not going to lie there were tears. However, memories for four saved and honestly that is all that matters. Will now try and do an outfit post. I have not quit blogging. Technology just hates me now. Wish me luck!
